Healing Beyond Borders
Ellen Clements, a native of Evansville, started her career with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the University of Evansville 1986. Her first nursing job was charge nurse at Madisonville Hospital on a post-surgical floor. She later returned to Evansville, IN to begin working in the Operating Room at Welborn Baptist Hospital. Her marriage then brought her to work at Methodist Hospital Union County in 1991 as a Surgical Services Manager over Sterile Processing, Endoscopy, Recovery Room, and Operating Room.
During her thirty years as a nurse, she has seen many changes throughout the medical field. As traditional medicine becomes more accepting of complementary and alternative treatments, she is implementing a more holistic approach into her medical and nursing practice. From a healing standpoint, she encompasses the whole person; body, mind, and spirit. Failure to treat the whole person, can lead to barriers in holistic healing. Self-transformation that combines the body as well as the mind and spirit are the backbone to self-healing and balancing life forces. Ellen began her journey in Healing Touch energy therapy as an addition to her nursing career, and now she has been inspired to introduce this healing modality to our community. Ellen is developing herself as an experienced healer that can assist people to open up their energy fields to increase their own potential for self-healing.
